New works from Michael Fikaris of Silent Army

We are thrilled to share with you two images donated by Michael Fikaris of Melbourne-based comic art collective Silent Army. Fikaris is a multi-disciplinary freelance artist who has recently collaborated with Safdar Ahmed of Sydney’s The Refugee Art Project to collate a 120 page comic art response to the question:

Where Do I Belong?

This question was put to three different groups of participants: a class of young artists at SIGNALa class of young prisoners with Sam Wallman, and a class of young refugees with Safdar Ahmed

Below is one image created by Fikaris during the Where Do I Belong project, which he has kindly donated to the IBYFM cause. It can now be purchased as a print on a range of items–including clothing, notebooks, mugs, and soft furnishings–on our Red Bubble site, with all proceeds going to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre in Melbourne. To check out the available goods, or to view the other fantastic image donated by Fikaris, please visit the IBYFM Red Bubble website.
